At The CV Squad we are legally and morally bound to protect your personal information and to handle it according to strict GDPR guidelines. This is an obligation that we take very seriously indeed.
The CV Squad part of TedTech Worldwide SL is a CV Writing and recruitment business which arms jobseekers with the tools they need to secure the best jobs and work-finding services to its clients and work-seekers. The CV Squad must process personal data (including sensitive personal data) so that it can provide these services – in doing so, the Company acts as a data controller.
You may give your personal details to the Company directly, such as on an application or registration form, via our website, your online User Account, or we may collect them from another source such as jobs board. The Company must have a legal basis for processing your personal data. For the purposes of providing you with a writing service, work-finding services and/or information relating to roles relevant to you we will only use your personal data in accordance with the terms of the following statement.
1 COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA
1.1 Purpose of processing and legal basis
The Company will collect your personal data (which may include sensitive personal data) and will process your personal data for the purposes of providing you with work-finding services. The legal bases we rely upon to offer these services to you are:
Personal data:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Contact details, including telephone number, email address and postal address
- Experience, training and qualifications
- CV
- National insurance number
- Include any other relevant personal data
Sensitive personal data:
- Disability/health condition relevant to the role
- Criminal conviction
- Include any other relevant sensitive personal data
1.2 Legitimate interest
Where the Company has relied on a legitimate interest to process your personal data our legitimate interests is/are as follows:
- To provide new professional content for your CV, Resume, LinkedIn Profile etc.
- To provide Career coaching and advice
- To provide Interview preparation
- To provide services to assist users in relation to employment opportunities
- For the purposes of providing you with work-finding services and/or information relating to roles relevant to you
1.3 Recipient/s of data
The Company will process your personal data and/or sensitive personal data with the following recipients:
- Your assigned in-house Career consultant and content writer.
- With your permission, we may distribute your details to carefully selected partners, for example, recruitment agencies, who may be able to assist you in gaining future employment. As a result, you may be contacted by email, telephone or post by us, our associates, or other organisations. You may, of course, opt out of such correspondence immediately and at any time.
1.3.1 We may share your personal information with any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.
1.3.2 We may share your information with selected third parties including:
1.3.3 Business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors for the performance of any contract we enter into with [them or] you;
1.3.4 Advertisers and advertising networks that require the data to select and serve relevant adverts to you and others; and
1.3.5 Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of the Website.
1.3.6 We may disclose your personal information to third parties:
1.3.6.1 in the event that we buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller of such business or assets;
1.3.6.2 if the Company or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets; and

1.3.6.4 If you have provided us with consent to do so, we may pass your data to selected third parties so that they can provide you with information about goods and services that they feel may be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe to third-party marketing at any time by selecting the 'unsubscribe' link in any email communication from the third party or by following the unsubscribe instructions for other types of communication.
1.4 Statutory/contractual requirement
Your personal data is required by law and/or a contractual requirement (e.g. our client may require this personal data), and/or a requirement necessary to enter into a contract. You are obliged to provide the personal data and if you do not the consequences of failure to provide the data is termination of contract.
2 OVERSEAS TRANSFERS
The Company may transfer only the information you provide to us to countries outside the European Economic Area (‘EEA’) for the purposes of providing you with work-finding services. We will take steps to ensure adequate protections are in place to ensure the security of your information. The EEA comprises the EU member states plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
3 WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
3.1 The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers or service providers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things the provision of our services to you. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
3.2 All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any sensitive information, such as credit/debit card numbers will be encrypted using secure socket layer technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of the Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
3.3 Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Website; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
4 DATA RETENTION
The Company will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary. Different laws require us to keep different data for different periods of time.
The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, require us to keep work-seeker records for at least one year from (a) the date of their creation or (b) after the date on which we last provide you with work-finding services.
We must also keep your payroll records, holiday pay, sick pay and pensions auto-enrolment records for as long as is legally required by HMRC and associated national minimum wage, social security and tax legislation.
Where the Company has obtained your consent to process your personal data such as name, address, salary, we will do so in line with our retention policy. Upon expiry of that period the Company will seek further consent from you. Where consent is not granted the Company will cease to process your data.
5 YOUR RIGHTS
Please be aware that you have the following data protection rights:
- The right to be informed about the personal data the Company processes on you;
- The right of access to the personal data the Company processes on you;
- The right to rectification of your personal data;
- The right to erasure of your personal data in certain circumstances;
- The right to restrict processing of your personal data;
- The right to data portability in certain circumstances;
- The right to object to the processing of your personal data that was based on a public or legitimate interest;
- The right not to be subjected to automated decision making and profiling; and
- The right to withdraw consent at any time.
However, the company may continue to process personal data where it has a legal obligation to continue to do so.
